With the world being turned upside down at the moment there’s comfort in the familiar and so whilst Hilary’s working away in isolation in the workshop and Susan’s on her laptop perched on the top of a nearby hill it’s reassuring to know that the team is united over the airwaves by the daily schedule of Radio 4. We’re not sure Ozzy is feeling the love quite so much though as his normal Friday morning routine of a sneaky snack of Dentastix with Susan whilst Hilary is at pilates has completely gone to pot.
Woman’s Hour is drowned out every so often with a rapid burst of stitching as a new bag comes to life. Over the last couple of weeks there’s been quite a focus on Magic Carpet bags.
…and after a very busy few days these appeared on our front page!
Colourful totes have also been emerging into the spring sunshine and the lovely smell of the leather together with the bright colours are making us smile.
Also making us smile very broadly is the winning combination of the spring flowers (the lilac! It’s almost out!), the swallows, swifts and house martins whizzing around the square and, because we haven’t mentioned baking for a while (and it is, after all, one of the things that keeps us going at work), a batch of fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies. Total biscuit heaven!
