We usually have a quick run-down of our summer in September – there are normally a few pictures of festivals, craft fairs, camping, some wonky vegetable animals, beach barbecues and plenty of horse action.  Normal doesn’t really apply to this year though and everyone’s summer took a different path.  Definitely a lot quieter but still fun.

Hilary was kept busy making bags including this bespoke travel bag and veg tan boy’s own satchel.

We visited the beach – eventually (it took a while to pluck up the courage and to be fair, the weather in early August didn’t help).

The kids found a grass snake in the brook, mackerel were caught and cooked, summer salads were made and something very bad happened to Susan’s nasturtiums (unless you were a Cabbage White caterpillar in which case all your dreams came true).

Plus chicks hatched, Hilary did a lot of schooling with horses Arnie and Kazzam and our friend Andrew found a scary toadstool.
